The Humane Society of the United Sates would like to take a moment to recognize and honor a lifetime animal advocate Denise Taddeo. During her professional career she counseled individuals with their life issues, but her real passion was nurturing and caring for animals. Her friend of 20 years remembers her home as a haven for birds, cats and dogs. When there was a vacancy, she welcomed a new animal in need into her home. It came as no surprise to her friend and executor that upon her passing Denise designated a substantial bequest to animal welfare at HSUS. She quietly and without any need of recognition improved the live of animals in her daily life and also received immense joy in having them as a part of her life.
Today we honor Denise and other Heroines like her who truly make this a better world.
